Our goal here at J.C.Spencer Remanufacturing is really very simple. Mainly, we want to eliminate a few negatives and in the process create a few more positives. In these trying times for all of us and our futures, we need to be as economically and environmentally friendly as we possibly can.
As I have said before, everybody prints documents of some kind. Which is going to leave us with a lot of materials to create those documents. In most cases people in Hawaii buy their ink and toner cartridges brand new from the mainland. Usually at at pretty hefty price too. One of our goals is to help out in an environmental and economical way.
So lets just take the shipping from the mainland into consideration. Most of these cartridges are being shipped via barge across the Pacific 2500 miles or so to reach Hawaii. Which ends up burning a lot of fuel and spewing lots of toxic gases and fumes (we don't want to know how much) into the air. Then once here it has to be delivered to the appropriate locations. Then the customer uses them until the cartridge is expired. From that point it either gets put in the landfills or returned to the cartridge return center. Which, then again, is handled by a courier back to the shipyard and back on a barge it goes, to the mainland. Repeating the whole process all over again. And this is speaking lightly of all the waste and emission involved. Eliminating all of this would help the environment tremendously.
One other positive for this business, is the money it could save your business. For example, say you use a HP cartridge that costs you $120 each, and you use 2 a month. We would sell the same cartridge for around $80, saving you $80 a month. Take those numbers and multiply them by 12 for each month of the year. Brand new you pay $2880 a year. With us you pay $ 1920 for the same quality product. Saving you $960 a year for your business. Not to mention the environmental benefits.
Another great reason to get involved is the benefits of dealing locally. Not only does it help stimulate the local economy but it also will create local jobs for people. Which again creates local economy stimulation.
So, what's the down side to recycling with J.C. Spencer ? The only real answer is, nothing. This is an all around winner for everybody. So lets get the ball rolling!
